  • How to make bread

Bread is and always has been an important part of many cultures’ cuisine. It is one of the ancient foods that has yet to be lost from history and future. Bread is a staple food that is prepared commonly using flour, water and the process of baking. Around 10,000 BC with the spread of agriculture and increased availability, the grains became the main source of making breads whose evidence goes as far as 30,000 years back in Europe and Australia. The process of making bread is pretty straight forward, we simply mix flour in water, make a dough and bake it, but to make it tasty it takes a bit more effort and care. So, let’s start.

    Flour: 3 cups
    Yeast: 2 tsp
    Honey: 1 tbsp
    Vegetable oil: 3 tbsp
    Water: As required
    Salt: For taste

Take a bowl In that bowl add 1 cup of water. Then to the water add 2 tsp of yeast Then add 1 tbsp honey to the yeast water and mix them well. If you do not have honey, you can use sugar syrup or sugar powder as a replacement. Set it aside for 15 minutes for the yeast to grow. After that add 2 tbsp of vegetable oil to the yeast mix and mix them thoroughly.

In a large bowl take 3 full cup flour. Add 1 tsp of salt Mix them well Then to the dry flour add our yeast mix and prepare a dough until it is soft to touch like your finger gets inside with a little press but does not stick to it. If it has become sticky add 1 tbsp dry flour and dough them until they become non sticky to touch. Now place that dough in a bowl and cover it up so that no air can pass through. Set it aside for 2 hours which will make it fluffy and grow in size.

Now take a loaf-pan or baking container. Add 1 tsp of vegetable oil inside and grease it thoroughly and uniformly. Now make the dough the size of your baking container/Loaf-pan and place it in the middle. Again, set it aside 1 hour to grow in size. Next switch on your oven and pre-heat to 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 176 degrees Celsius. Let it sit in the oven for 30 minutes or until the upper part becomes golden-brown in colour. After the time is up, take it out leave it outside covered up for the shape to harden a bit and the bread to cool down. Then cut, serve and enjoy.
